Common Small Business Problems

Normally we are dealing with “emergencies” that are preventing you from running your business efficiently. We understand that often you need a quick turnaround and response. Maybe a computer has died, crashed or is so slow it’s driving you nuts. E-mail problems? We are here to help.

Networking problems are very common as are wireless connectivity issues. Microsoft Office can also prove problematic. Once you’ve been rescued we will look at your backup policy ( often neglected ) and you’ll be surprised that it needn’t cost the earth to insure yourself against hard drive failure ( they all fail eventually ) , theft, flood or fire.

We also assist in office moves and re-assembling your network. We advise and supply Servers too. Having extensive experience with Microsoft Windows Server means we can tackle these problems, along with the often troublesome Microsoft Exchange.

These days many businesses run a “break / fix” policy, but a bit of planning and maintenance will save you hassle and money in the future, so we can offer reasonable Maintenance contracts based on the size and complexity of your business.

In all cases it’s best to just pick up the phone and call our friendly team on 020 7099 4577 or e-mail: info@laptopandpcservices.com . We always try and give you the best estimate of time and cost at the time of booking.

How We Charge

We charge £70.00 per hour + VAT. Minimum charge is one hour which includes the callout fee, so if a problem is fixed in 15 minutes then the engineer will spend the next 45 minutes checking over your computer/s and tuning up if required.
After the initial hour we charge in 15 minute increments, so for example 1 hour 45 minutes would cost £122.50 + VAT.

Please note for small businesses that run Macs we charge £90.00 + VAT per hour and £22.50 + VAT per 15 minutes after the first hour.

Making Payment

When you first call to give us your details we’ll ask you for credit or debit card number. We will process the fee for one hour’s labour and then when the engineer has finished he will ask you to sign a timesheet. If there is any extra time to pay for over the initial hour we will call you to arrange the payment.

Work Guarantee

Should you experience a recurrence of the problem our engineer fixed, or the installation that was completed is not functioning as intended or has developed teething problems, then we will come back to rectify the original issue for free, as long as you inform us within 5 working days of job completion.

At this stage any additional work required that was not part of the original office visit specification will be charged at normal rates.
